OVERVIEW
Lola Magazine, published by Editora Abril, was a unique women’s publication that targeted successful women over the age of 30. The magazine’s content was geared towards an audience that was looking for more than just ready-made formulas, how-to articles, or tutorials. Instead, Lola offered its own distinct point of view on a range of topics, from lifestyle and fashion to culture and current events.
As a graphic designer at the magazine, I worked alongside the art director to create visually stunning spreads for the monthly edition. My role involved designing layouts that not only showcased the content but also drew readers in with eye-catching typography, striking imagery, and creative design elements.
In addition to my layout work, I also had the opportunity to attend cover, beauty, and portrait photo shoots, collaborating with the photographers and stylists to ensure that the final images would work seamlessly with the overall design of the magazine. This involvement allowed me to bring a unique perspective to the design process, incorporating insights gained from the photo shoots into my layouts and ensuring a cohesive and visually compelling final product.
